Program Overview

The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) invites applications for a Software Developer position in Islamabad under the World Bank-funded 'Crisis Resilient Social Protection (CRISP) Program'. This role involves Individual Consultancy Services on a contract basis.

Role and Responsibilities

The Software Developer will work on enterprise-level projects, developing applications using various technologies including Web, Windows Services, and potentially mobile platforms. Responsibilities include writing professional code, application development, encryption, and potentially working with ArcGIS.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualification: At least 16 years of education in Computer Science or equivalent. Preference will be given to graduates from HEC-approved top ranking local and/or foreign universities.
Experience: At least 3+ years working experience as Software Developer or Systems Engineer on enterprise level projects in organizations, preferably CMMI certified. Extensive Web, Windows Services, Encryption, application development experience in .Net/VC, C++, Java, Android & WPF application development Framework is required. Experience with developing native Android applications will be preferred. Experience with implementing ArcGIS will also be preferred. Must demonstrate the ability to write professional code, potentially exceeding 0.5 million lines, preferably on enterprise-level/large applications.

A consultant shall be selected in accordance with the method contained in Section VII, paragraphs 7.36 and 7.37 of the “World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers”, July 2016 [Revised November 2017 and August 2018].

Remuneration would be negotiable commensurating to qualification and experience of the candidate.
