Job Overview

The Finance Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, invites applications for the position of Risk & Compliance Head on a contract basis for an initial duration of one year. This crucial role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of risk management and regulatory compliance, particularly within the context of investment management, corporate finance, and non-banking financial institutions. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring adherence to relevant policies, rules, and regulations, contributing to the financial stability and integrity of the organization.

Key Requirements and Qualifications

Candidates applying for the Risk & Compliance Head position must demonstrate extensive expertise and experience. A minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant professional experience is required, with a preference for six (6) to eight (8) years in a managerial role within risk and compliance, investment management, corporate finance, capital markets, asset management companies, or Non-Banking Financial Institutions. Applicants must have a proven track record of outstanding achievement, verifiable through successful leadership of teams. A minimum of sixteen years of formal education from a reputable local or international institution, specifically in Economics, Finance, Accounting, and Commerce, is mandatory. Professional certifications such as CFA/FRM will be highly advantageous. Relevant experience gained in the public, private, or development sectors is also considered.

Recruitment Procedure

The recruitment process for the Risk & Compliance Head will proceed in three distinct phases:

• Stage 1: Application/CV Review: All applications will undergo a thorough review, and shortlisted candidates will be selected based on their academic credentials, overall quality, and track record.
• Stage 2: Written Test: Shortlisted candidates will proceed to a written test. This comprehensive assessment will cover financial, technical, and strategic skills, and may include case-study or problem-solving approaches. Candidates achieving a minimum qualifying score will be moved to the next stage.
• Stage 3: Interview: The final stage involves an interview with a three-member panel, which will evaluate the candidate’s suitability for the position.
