Job Overview

The Finance Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Chief Investment Officer to join its team on a contract basis for an initial period of one year. This pivotal role involves overseeing investment strategies, managing significant portfolios, and ensuring robust financial governance within the public sector. Key Requirements and Qualifications

Candidates for the Chief Investment Officer position must meet rigorous criteria to be considered. Applicants should have a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant professional experience, with a preferred six (6) to eight (8) years in a managerial capacity within investment management, corporate finance, capital markets, asset management companies, or Non-Banking Financial Institutions. A demonstrable and verifiable track record of outstanding achievement, including successfully leading teams, is essential. Furthermore, candidates must hold a minimum of sixteen years of formal education from a reputable local or international institution in fields such as Economics, Finance, Accounting, and Commerce. Professional certifications like CFA/ACCA/CA are highly valued. Relevant experience in the public, private, or development sectors, or a combination thereof, will also be considered.

Recruitment Procedure

The recruitment process for the Chief Investment Officer will proceed in three distinct phases:

• Stage 1: Application/CV Review: All applications will undergo a thorough review, and shortlisted candidates will be selected based on their academic credentials, overall quality, and track record.
• Stage 2: Written Test: Shortlisted candidates will proceed to a written test. This comprehensive assessment will cover financial, technical, and strategic skills, and may include case-study or problem-solving approaches. Candidates achieving a minimum qualifying score will be moved to the next stage.
• Stage 3: Interview: The final stage involves an interview with a three-member panel, which will evaluate the candidate’s suitability for the position.
