Position Overview

The University of Layyah is seeking a qualified individual for the post of Registrar (BS-19, 01 post). This is a contract position for 03 years (in terms of section 22 of the UL Act 2022). The required age limit is 40 to 50 years. Applications are invited from Punjab domiciled Pakistanis.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC):
Option 1:
  • Ph.D. or equivalent qualification.
  • Eight years post-qualification experience (BPS-17 & above or equivalent) in teaching or administrative or professional roles in a public or private institute/university or public sector organization.
Option 2:
  • MS or M.Phil. or equivalent qualification.
  • Ten years post-qualification experience (BPS-17 & above or equivalent) in teaching or administrative or professional roles in a public or private institute/university or public sector organization.
Option 3:
  • Master's degree or BS (four years) (second division) or equivalent qualification.
  • Twelve years' post-qualification experience (BPS-17 & above or equivalent) in teaching or administrative or professional roles in a public or private institute/university or public sector organization.

2. The last date for submission of the online application is 26-04-2025.
3. After successful online submission, print the application form. Five complete sets of the Application Form along with attested copies of transcripts, degrees, certificates, experience certificates, CNIC, recent photographs, and the original computer-generated paid fee voucher of Rs. 5000/- must reach the office of the Registrar, University of Layyah, Kachehry Road Layyah on or before 29-04-2025.
4. Candidates already employed in Government/Semi Government departments or Autonomous bodies must apply through the proper channel by the due date. Advance copies of applications will not be entertained.
5. Incomplete and late submissions will not be entertained.

Selection and General Instructions

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. No TA/DA will be admissible.
Age relaxation shall be admissible as per the policy of the Government.
Where required, the screening test will be conducted through the Education Testing Council (ETC) of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad.
The University reserves the right to cancel/withhold any post or its entire advertisement without assigning any reason, which will not be challengeable in court.
The decision of the University shall remain binding in all cases.
