About the Role
The Government of Punjab's Local Government & Community Development Department (LG&CDD) is seeking a Manager Community Engagement for its City Implementation Team in Bahawalpur, as part of the 'Developing Resilient Environment and Advancing Municipal Services (DREAMS-I)' project. This is a key contractual role for an initial term of one year, with potential for extension based on performance.Qualifications and Experience
Candidates applying for the Manager Community Engagement position should possess:- A graduate or preferably postgraduate degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of work experience in matters related to communication, marketing, outreach, and advocacy.
- Preferably 5 years of work experience in similar projects, particularly related to local governments, urban development reforms, and solid waste management sector.
- Experience working in the development sector and with international donor organizations would be preferred.
- Essential knowledge of best practices, laws, and policies related to communication and marketing campaigns, media relations, and advocacy.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and strong interpersonal skills are advantageous.
- The maximum age limit for applicants is 55 years.
Key Responsibilities (Illustrative)
The Manager Community Engagement will be responsible for:- Developing and implementing community engagement strategies.
- Managing communication campaigns, marketing, and outreach activities.
- Building and maintaining relationships with local communities and stakeholders.
- Overseeing media relations and advocacy efforts for the project.
