General Manager Plant

Company Overview

Quaid-e-Azam Solar Power (Pvt.) Ltd (QA Solar), wholly owned by the Government of Punjab, has installed the first ever 100 MW Solar PV Plant in the province of Punjab. We require the services of professionally sound candidates for the following position.

Role Summary

We are looking for a seasoned General Manager (GM) Plant to look after and manage the country's first 100 MW Solar Power Plant located at Lal Suhanra, Bahawalpur. This position performs a wide range of supervisory and administrative activities and will direct plant personnel in the daily performance of various operations and maintenance functions in accordance with policies, goals, and objectives established by the Chief Executive Officer. The candidate should have excellent motivational skills and a thorough understanding of the renewable energy and power generation sector of Pakistan.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an HEC Recognized University. A Master's degree in a relevant field will be preferred.
• Experience: At least 10 years post-qualification relevant experience in the power sector, including at least 3 years in a senior management position at a public or private sector company (preferred).
• Registration: The candidate should be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
• Skills: Familiarity with all applicable software. Experience in renewable energy would be preferred.

Location and Age Limit

Location: Site Office - Bahawalpur, Punjab.
Maximum Age Limit: The maximum age of the candidate should not be more than 55 years at the date of advertisement.

Salary: Market-based salary will be given.
