Job Overview

Applications are invited by the National School of Public Policy (NSPP), Government of Pakistan, for one (01) regular basis position of Deputy Director (IT) (BS-18), Ex-PASC, located in Lahore. The role entails supporting IT operations, systems development, and IT project management within the institution.

Qualification and Experience

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
Option 1: A Second Class or 'C' Grade Master's degree or equivalent from a recognised University in one of the following subjects: Computer Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Physics / Economics. (No specific years of experience are mentioned for this option in the advertisement).
OR
Option 2: A Second Class Bachelor's degree in Engineering with:

• 1) 5 years of experience in the field of Computer Programming in two high-level languages.
• 2) Training in Systems Analysis.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for this position is 40 years (calculated as 35 years + 5 years general age relaxation). Standard government age relaxation rules apply (see application process for details).

The completed application form, along with a detailed CV, attested copies of all educational and experience documents/certificates, a copy of CNIC, and two recent passport-size photographs, must reach the office of the Deputy Director (Human Resource), National School of Public Policy, C/o National Management College, Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam, Mall Road, Lahore. The post applied for should be clearly mentioned on the envelope.

Important Notes:

• The last date for application submission is 15 days from the date of this advertisement.
• Applicants currently working in Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous Bodies are requested to apply through the proper channel.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. No TA/DA will be admissible.
• A separate application must be submitted for each post if applying for multiple positions; joint applications will be treated as cancelled.
• The exact scale of the subject post will be offered by the interview panel based on the successful candidate's level of experience and qualification.
• NSPP reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts or cancel any of the advertised posts without assigning any reason.
• Applications received without attested copies of educational/experience certificates will not be entertained.
• The appointment would be made subject to verification of experience and educational credentials by the relevant Authority.

Age Relaxation: Following relaxations in the upper age limit will be admissible to the following category of the candidates (Note: Where a candidate is entitled to age relaxation under more than one category specified above, he/she shall be allowed relaxation in age only in one category):

• (a) Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Buddhist Community, recognized tribes of the Tribal Areas, Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas for all posts under the Federal Government: 3 years.
• (b) Candidates belonging to Sindh (R) and Balochistan for posts in BPS-15 and below under the Federal Government: 3 years.
• (ii) Released or retired officers/personnel of the Armed Forces of Pakistan: 15 years or the number of years actually served in the Armed Forces of Pakistan, whichever is less.
• (iii) Government Servant and contract employee who have completed 02 years continuous government service on the closing date for receipt of application: 10 years, up to the age of 55 years.
• (iv) Disable persons for appointment to post in BPS-15 and below: 10 years.
• (v) Widow, son or daughter of a deceased civil servant who died during service: 5 years.
