Job Overview

The Home Department, Government of Punjab, is looking for a skilled Database Administrator. This position is offered on a lump sum pay package (market-based) and is purely contract-based. The role involves managing Oracle Databases, object-oriented databases, or MS-SQL on Solaris, Windows, or Linux platforms within the public sector.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for the Database Administrator role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• MCS or BCS or BS (Second Division) in Software Engineering or Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Information Technology from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission.
• A minimum of seven (07) years of post-qualification experience in managing Oracle Databases, object-oriented databases, or MS-SQL on Solaris, Windows, or Linux platforms in the public sector.
• Sufficient knowledge of data-warehouse techniques and the ability to document various phases of system development with respect to the database.

The age requirement is between 30 and 40 years. An age relaxation of up to 05 years is admissible as per government policy. Candidates must possess a valid domicile of Punjab Province.
