About the Role
This pivotal role, Unit Head - ERP / SharePoint, at the National Bank of Pakistan, is designed for an experienced professional to lead the enterprise resource planning (ERP) and SharePoint systems development. To qualify for the Unit Head - ERP / SharePoint position, applicants must hold a minimum Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field from a local or internationally recognized university or college by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Candidates possessing relevant certifications will be given preference, demonstrating a commitment to professional excellence and specialized knowledge in the domain. A Master's degree in these fields is also an acceptable qualification.Required Experience
A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in the field of IT is essential, with at least 3 years specifically in a leading or managerial role, preferably within a banking environment. This extensive experience should encompass a deep understanding of ERP and SharePoint systems, along with a proven track record of successful project delivery and team leadership. The role requires demonstrated ability to manage complex IT projects effectively.Key Skills and Knowledge
The ideal candidate will exhibit proficiency in SharePoint Framework (SPFx), TypeScript, REST APIs, and Microsoft Graph API for modern SharePoint development. Strong experience with .NET, C#, and MVC architecture is required, coupled with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies. In-depth knowledge of SharePoint architecture, including site collections, permissions models, and governance practices, is crucial. Demonstrated expertise in document management systems, custom form development, and business process automation using Power Platform or third-party tools is also necessary. Furthermore, a proven ability to train, mentor, and guide team members while maintaining adherence to software quality and coding standards is highly valued for this Unit Head position.Main Duties and Responsibilities
The core responsibilities include leading and managing ERP and SharePoint systems to ensure their smooth operation, customization, and comprehensive support across the organization. This involves providing hands-on expertise in ERP modules and SharePoint workflows, forms, and integrations. The Unit Head will analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions aligned with organizational goals, and plan and execute ERP and SharePoint enhancement projects, upgrades, and system integrations. Overseeing and mentoring a team of developers, analysts, and support staff is critical for ensuring timely delivery and high performance. The role also requires ensuring application security, data integrity, access control, and compliance with regulatory and internal standards. Managing system documentation, technical specifications, and process flows for both ERP and SharePoint environments, coordinating with business stakeholders and vendors for requirement gathering, testing, and deployment, and resolving complex technical issues through root cause analysis are key. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring effective change management processes, monitoring system impact post-deployment, and evaluating and recommending tools, technologies, and practices for continuous improvement and modernization.
