Public Relation Officer

Role and Responsibilities

As a Public Relation Officer, you will be pivotal in establishing and maintaining effective liaison with various stakeholders, including civil administration, tribal leaders, local communities, and law enforcement agencies. You will represent the company in all protocol matters, especially during high-level visits from government officials, clients, and international partners.

Your responsibilities also include facilitating smooth communication and coordination between project management and local authorities, and actively assisting in conflict resolution, negotiations, and crisis management within culturally sensitive contexts. Furthermore, you will ensure strict compliance with all relevant security, administrative, and protocol Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for industrial projects involving international clients. Providing guidance on local customs, traditions, and cultural sensitivities is crucial to support safe and harmonious project operations, along with supporting logistical arrangements for VIP visits, government inspections, and client delegations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum Graduation degree and be an Ex-Army Officer of Colonel, Major, or equivalent rank, with an administrative or intelligence background. A robust experience of at least 10 years in commissioned service is mandatory, demonstrating proven expertise in liaison, protocol, or various field postings. Prior service within Balochistan or other tribal areas is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates should have extensive experience in executing industrial projects and collaborating effectively with international clients.

Essential Skills and Attributes

The ideal candidate will exhibit strong local knowledge and possess an extensive network within civil, tribal, and law enforcement structures. Fluency in Urdu and English is required, with proficiency in Balochi and/or Pashto being a highly desirable asset. High emotional intelligence, excellent negotiation skills, and strong cultural adaptability are crucial for this role. Familiarity with SOPs of industrial projects involving international clients, coupled with the ability to work under challenging site conditions, is essential. Proven leadership, discipline, and strong decision-making capabilities are also key attributes, along with a willingness to be based full-time at the Reko Diq Project in Balochistan.

Technical Skills

Applicants should demonstrate familiarity with essential software tools including MS Office Project, various ERP systems, and other relevant reporting tools necessary for efficient project management and communication.
