Officer - Taxation

About the Job

Imtiaz Group (Private) Limited is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced professional for the position of Officer - Taxation at their head office. This role requires managing various tax returns, maintaining compliance, and handling communications with tax authorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (Income Tax, Sales Tax, Withholding Tax, etc.) in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Ensure timely deposit of all applicable taxes and maintain proper documentation.
• Assist in tax planning and implementation of strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
• Handle correspondence with tax authorities and respond to queries, notices, and audits.
• Maintain accurate tax records, reconciliations, and schedules for internal and external audits.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, and communicate their impact to management.
• Support internal teams with tax-related guidance to ensure proper withholding and compliance in transactions.
• Assist in preparing management reports related to taxation for decision-making.
• Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, and legal advisors where necessary.
• Identify potential risks in taxation processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and compliance.

Qualification & Experience

Education: MBA - Finance from a reputable university
Experience: 2 to 3 years of proven experience in tax preparation and compliance.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of income tax, sales tax, withholding tax, and other relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Experience handling tax audits and interacting with tax authorities.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to analyze and interpret tax laws and implement changes.
