Key Responsibilities

The Officer - Fixed Income Operations will undertake a diverse range of critical responsibilities, all essential for the smooth and efficient functioning of the trading department. Key tasks and duties associated with this role include:
  • **Project and Initiative Support:** Assisting the Projects & Initiatives team in the flawless execution and timely delivery of fixed income securities' primary market auction.
  • **Auction System Management:** Providing comprehensive support in all operational activities of the PSX Auction System, covering both the crucial pre and post-auction phases.
  • **Market Participant Engagement:** Serving as a primary point of contact to provide essential services and support to market participants, both before and during the intricate auction process.
  • **Data Reconciliation and Reporting:** Meticulously preparing accurate auction data reconciliation statements, diligently maintaining a comprehensive record of auction history, and ensuring the seamless and timely settlement of all auctions in close coordination with the clearing and depository companies.
  • **MIS Reporting:** Preparing comprehensive Management Information System (MIS) reports post-auction, including all prescribed reports for management, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Ministry of Finance (MoF), SECP, and any other relevant authority, ensuring timely submission.
  • **Secondary Market Trading:** Performing and diligently maintaining all market-related tasks within allied applications pertaining to the secondary market trading of various types of fixed income securities, such as T-Bills, PIBs, and GoP Ijarah Sukuks (GIS).
  • **Market Maker Onboarding and Monitoring:** Assisting the manager in Market Makers' onboarding activities, meticulously monitoring market makers' performance in strict adherence to market making agreements, and ensuring accurate reporting for compliance purposes.
  • **Documentation Management:** Maintaining all necessary documentation related to Market Makers Agreements, documents concerning Direct Access to the Trading System for Non-Brokers, and other pertinent records.
  • **Ad-hoc Tasks:** Executing any other tasks as assigned by the line manager or the Head of the Department (HoD) to support the overall objectives and operational needs of the department.
