Job Overview

The Finance Department, Government of Gilgit-Baltistan invites applications from suitable candidates for the position of Network Administrator (PPS-8) under the development project 'GB Automation and Digitization of Revenues'. This role is offered on a contract basis for an initial period of three years and is based in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Key Responsibilities

The Network Administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the growing network infrastructure associated with the revenue digitization project. This includes ensuring network connectivity, security, performance, and reliability.

Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree / BS in Computer Science or Information Technology (minimum 16 years of education) from an HEC recognized university/institution.
Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or proof of other relevant network certifications is required.

Experience

A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in network administration, preferably gained in either the government or private sector.

Skills

• In-depth understanding of networking protocols and concepts.
• Network design and implementation skills.
• Network security principles and practices.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with network hardware and software.
