Position Overview

The Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, invites applications for the position of Member (Information Technology). This is a senior-level contractual position based in Islamabad, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the technological advancement of the higher education sector in Pakistan. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in leading digital transformation and leveraging emerging technologies.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this prestigious role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Computing, or a related domain.
• Experience: At least 20 years of relevant work experience is required. This experience must be gained after obtaining the required qualification.
• Senior Management Experience: A minimum of five years at a senior management level in the IT industry/systems is mandatory.
• Maximum Age: 62 Years.

Desirable Attributes

Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate:

• A successful track record of leading digital transformation in a large-scale organization, particularly concerning the deployment of digital technologies to improve governance, efficiency, and transparency.
• An in-depth understanding of emerging technologies in education, research, administration, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and AI applications.
• Experience in leadership roles at large organizations and proven ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders at national and international levels.
