Job Overview and Responsibilities
The Manager for the Fraud Risk Monitoring Unit at PPCBL is tasked with a critical role in safeguarding the bank's digital operations. This position requires a proactive individual capable of leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of fraud detection and monitoring frameworks. A core responsibility is to supervise real-time transaction monitoring to detect unusual or suspicious activities, including card blocking, customer notifications, and system lockdowns, followed by immediate responses and thorough root cause analysis. The manager will also ensure timely preparation and submission of fraud-related reports and dashboards for senior management, internal stakeholders, and regulatory bodies like SBP, focusing on Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs). Collaborative efforts with Legal and Recovery teams are crucial for customer dispute resolution and loss recovery. Furthermore, the role involves maintaining and updating the Digital Fraud Risk Policy and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure robust fraud management.Qualifications and Experience
Candidates applying for the Manager, Fraud Risk Monitoring Unit position must hold a minimum Bachelor's Degree from an HEC recognized University. A strong academic background in a relevant field such as Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or Information Technology is highly desirable. In terms of experience, a minimum of five years of post-qualification experience is required, with at least two years specifically in a similar fraud risk management position. This experience should demonstrate a proven track record in digital fraud detection, risk monitoring, and compliance within a banking or financial institution setting.Application Process
