Position Overview

The Punjab Provincial Cooperative Bank Ltd. (PPCBL) is hiring a VP/Dy. Head, Financial Controller for its Finance Division at the Head Office in Lahore. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the bank's financial control functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

To supervise and manage the Statutory Reporting, Regulatory Reporting and Payables Sections.
To ensure compliance with all laws and regulations governing Statutory and Regulatory reporting, returns etc.
To ensure proper oversight on opening, closing and maintaining of General Ledger accounts while ensuring that proper authorization and audit trail exists for such events. Ensure accuracy in preparation and finalization of all types of Statements: Regulatory, Statutory and management reports and their timely submission as per requirements of the law (where applicable). To ensure proper controls on payment made to third parties and others.
Ensure timely reconciliation of GL accounts with sub-ledger including, vendor liability accounts, customer receivable accounts, Suspense accounts, Miscellaneous Accounts, inter-branch and other accounts requiring periodic reconciliations.
To ensure compliance of Audit observations (SBP, Internal Audit & External Audit) and qualifications related to Payables, Accounts, Regulatory Reporting and Statutory Reporting. To ensure compliance with periodic cut-offs and timely closure of accounting periods in the ERP system.
Ensuring oversight of controls relating to vendor management and vendor payments. Ensuring adequate oversight on asset addition, deletion, transfers and monthly depreciation run. Identify areas for improvement in Finance and Accounts. To coordinate and liaise with Internal & External Auditors. To timely respond to relevant queries raised by branches / zones regarding accounting treatment.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualification: CA, ACMA, ACCA, MBA Finance (Relevant degree in Accounts & Finance).
Experience: Minimum 08 years post qualification experience, with at least 03 years in a similar position in a bank or financial institution.
Department: Finance Division.
Age Limit: 35-50 years.
