Organization Overview

AKES, Pakistan operates numerous educational institutions and is seeking a finance professional for its Regional Education Office based in Gilgit-Baltistan to support its financial activities.

Role Responsibilities

The Junior Finance Officer will support financial operations at the regional level, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Key responsibilities include:

Recording payments from remote schools via RSDUs and REO.
Assisting with bank reconciliations and supplier statements.
Ensuring adherence to internal financial policies and regulations.
Responding to financial queries from schools, suppliers, and departments.
Managing advances, TADA, reimbursements, and other staff payments.
Uploading and printing corporate cheques; ensuring distribution and documentation.
Maintaining organised financial records (both digital and physical).

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a relevant field. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is relevant.
0-1 year of experience; preference will be given to candidates familiar with MS Dynamics 365 (FIS).
Strong communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
