Key Responsibilities

The English Language Coordinator is responsible for:
  • Designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating programmes to improve the English language proficiency of staff and students across the region.
  • Working closely with other units to support language development among teachers, students, and other staff members.
  • Producing high-quality materials.
  • Monitoring and tracking the progress of the English Language Enhancement Programme (ELEP) and assessing improvements in target proficiency levels for both teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Mentoring teachers with low English language scores on a regular basis, helping them to meet organisational standards.
  • Maintaining close contact with English Language Coordinators based in regional offices to ensure the timely exchange of information and materials.
  • Coordinating with external organisations offering English language courses, assessments, and resources.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate must hold:
  • A Master's degree (16 years of education) in a relevant subject.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication, management, leadership, planning, organising, and monitoring skills are essential for this role.
