Director General (Islamabad Water)

About the Role

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is seeking a highly experienced and qualified individual for the role of Director General (Islamabad Water). This pivotal position, offered on a two-year contract basis with potential for extension, involves overseeing and managing the comprehensive urban water utility operations within Islamabad. The selected candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, implementation, and maintenance of water management systems, ensuring efficient and sustainable water services for the capital city.

Qualifications and Experience

Prospective applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (1st class) from a recognized institution, along with a Master's degree (1st class) in a relevant field such as Urban Water Utility Management, Sanitary Engineering, Public Health Engineering, or Environmental Engineering. Candidates must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). A minimum of seventeen (17) years of progressive experience in a managerial capacity within the relevant field is mandatory. Preference will be given to candidates demonstrating strong experience in urban water utility management, sanitary engineering, and environmental engineering, acquired in either reputable public or private sector organizations.

Age and General Conditions

The age limit for this position is 45 years, with a relaxation of up to 50 years, ensuring that experienced professionals are eligible. The appointment will be on a contract basis for an initial period of two years, extendable based on performance and requirements. Only shortlisted candidates who meet the specified criteria will be called for written tests or interviews. Candidates will be required to bring all original educational and experience certificates, along with attested copies, at the time of their interview. Government sector employees must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective departments. No Travel Allowance (TA) or Daily Allowance (DA) will be admissible for tests/interviews.
