Director (P&D)

Position Overview

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is seeking a skilled Director (Planning & Development) to lead its P&D department. This is a contractual appointment for an initial two-year period. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, development, and execution of projects within the authority's mandate.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should meet the following minimum requirements:

• Education: A Bachelor's degree (1st class) in Civil Engineering recognized by PEC, and a Master's degree (1st class) in a relevant field, preferably in Urban Water Utility Management, Sanitary, PHE, or Environment Engineering.
• Experience: Twelve (12) years of experience, both in the field and in a managerial position, equivalent to BPS-17 or above in a reputed public or private sector organization. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Urban Water Utility Management, Sanitary, PHE, or Environment Engineering.
• Registration: Registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) is mandatory.
• Age Limit: Up to 45 years (40 + 5 years relaxation).

Preference will be given to candidates with a higher degree in the relevant field.

General Instructions

• The CDA reserves the right to cancel the advertisement or change the number of posts.
• The appointment will be on a contract basis for an initial period of two years.
• Only shortlisted candidates who meet the criteria will be called for a written test/interview.
• No TA/DA will be provided for the test/interview.
• Candidates must bring original documents (educational, experience certificates) and attested copies at the time of the interview.
• Applicants currently serving in government organizations must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) with their application.

1. Online application forms along with scanned attested copies of educational documents, experience certificates, recent photograph, CNIC, and domicile must be submitted at the CDA's official job portal: https://cda.gov.pk/jobs.
2. The last date for the submission of the application form is July 29, 2025.
3. All applications must be submitted online; incomplete applications will not be entertained.
4. Candidates applying for multiple posts must submit separate application forms and a separate application fee for each post.
5. An application processing fee of Rs. 2000/- (non-refundable and non-transferrable) is required for each post. The fee must be submitted online using the QR code generated upon successful submission of the application, payable via any banking app.
