Position Overview

Lady Reading Hospital (LRH), a premier Medical Teaching Institution in Peshawar, Pakistan, is inviting applications from highly qualified and experienced individuals for the senior leadership role of Dean. The successful candidate will be an established scholar with recognized leadership qualities, a strong track record in teaching, and a profound commitment to medical education and research. Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet the following stringent criteria to be considered for this position:

• An established scholar with medical or basic science qualifications (MBBS or equivalent).
• A higher Diploma, such as FCPS, FRCP, FRCS, or a US Board certification or equivalent, OR a Ph.D. degree in a medical science.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of administrative experience leading a department, unit, program, or institution.

The Dean will also receive a faculty appointment at an appropriate level (associate professor or full professor) in a department relevant to their specialty.

Key Responsibilities

The Dean is the head of the Medical Institution and holds significant responsibilities, including:

• Leading faculty recruitment and development initiatives.
• Overseeing all aspects of undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching and research.
• Reporting directly to the Board of Governors.
• Managing all budgetary and financial matters related to the medical school and its functions.
