Candidates aspiring for the Database Administrator position must possess a strong academic foundation and significant professional experience. Educationally, applicants should hold an MCS or BCS or BS (Second Division) in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). This ensures a solid theoretical understanding of database principles and related IT concepts.From an experience perspective, a minimum of seven (07) years of post-qualification experience is required. This experience must be directly relevant to managing Oracle Database, object-oriented databases, or MS-SQL on Solaris, Windows, or Linux platforms, with a preference for experience gained within the public sector. The depth of experience is crucial for handling complex database environments. Furthermore, candidates must demonstrate sufficient knowledge of data warehouse techniques and possess the capability to document all phases of system development related to database functionalities, showcasing a holistic understanding of database lifecycle management.
Age Eligibility and Desired Attributes
The age limit for candidates applying for the Database Administrator role is between 30 and 40 years.
