Organization Overview

The Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) is working on the “Rehabilitation and Development of Qila Kohna Qasim Bagh for Promotion of tourism and preservation of tangible and intangible heritage, Multan” project, supported by the Government of the Punjab. Applications are invited from Punjab domiciled Male/Female candidates.

Position Summary

The Conservationist will be responsible for applying conservation principles and techniques to preserve the historical and cultural integrity of Qila Kohna Qasim Bagh in Multan. This role is vital for the project's success in heritage preservation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement conservation plans for heritage structures and artifacts.
• Conduct research and analysis related to conservation.
• Supervise conservation work and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other specialists.

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualifications: MSc Conservation / Architect Registered with PCATP.
• Experience: 3 years in the relevant field.
• Domicile: Punjab.

Important Notes:

• The contract appointment is temporary in nature, non-transferable, non-pensionable, job/post specific and confers no right for regularization. The contract appointment will be for the duration of the project.
• The above-mentioned post is for appointment in Multan.
• Offered salary is on a lump-sum basis (including all allowances).
• NOC for government servants is required at the time of submission of the job application.
• Incomplete applications will be rejected, and only shortlisted candidates shall be intimated/called for test/interview through call/e-mail etc.
• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for test/interview.
• WCLA reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts or cancel any advertised post(s).
• The last date for submission of applications is 31 May 2025. Any application received after the due date shall not be considered.
