Collection Recovery & SAM Head

Job Summary

The Collection Recovery & SAM Head will be a critical leadership role at The Punjab Provincial Cooperative Bank Ltd., responsible for overseeing the entire non-performing loans (NPLs) portfolio. This position involves strategic management of recovery efforts, ensuring compliance with State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulations, and implementing effective internal reporting mechanisms to maintain the bank's asset quality.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must hold a Minimum Bachelor's Degree from an HEC recognized University. A strong professional background is required, with at least 05 years of post-qualification experience, including a minimum of 03 years specifically in a similar position within a bank or a reputable financial institution, with a focus on collection and recovery.

Roles & Responsibility

• Perform duties encompassing the overall in-charge role for the non-performing loans (NPLs) portfolio, ensuring effective management and reduction.
• Manage the non-performing loans (NPLs) as per Production Regulations of SBP and adhere to all related reporting standards, including IFRS-9.
• Ensure complete compliance with all Production Regulations of SBP and implement instructions circulars and directives of SBP.
• Supervise and manage all regular reporting to SBP and internal management reporting, providing accurate and timely information.
• Analyze and review the NPLs portfolio inflow and recovery trends, conducting thorough construct analysis for recovery strategies.
• Liaison, correspondence & follow up with field offices, i.e., Zonal Office & Branches, for effective NPLs recovery and downgrading of the NPLs portfolio.
• Coordinate with the field functionality Cooperative Department for effective & massive recovery of non-performing loans, maximizing recovery rates.
• Conduct regular meeting sections with field areas and visit the field areas when required for progressive recovery updates and strategy discussions.
• Communicate & support the Branches for NPLs recovery & related matters, and proactively resolve issues regarding recovery.
• Oversee the implementation of charge-off processes for classified loans, coordinating with liaison/coordination of concern divisions/stockholders.
• Liaison with IT team and core banking team for proper application of required features in the system through the vendor, ensuring technological support for recovery efforts.
