Chief Supply Chain Management Officer

Position Overview

PESCO seeks an experienced Chief Supply Chain Management Officer (CSCMO) to lead and optimize the company's supply chain and procurement functions. Reporting to the CEO, the CSCMO will oversee the entire procurement cycle, inventory management, and logistics. The initial appointment is for three years.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

The ideal candidate needs strong leadership, negotiation, and strategic planning skills. Responsibilities include developing supply chain strategies, managing supplier relationships, ensuring efficient procurement processes, and optimizing inventory levels. Key skills include Data Analytics, Problem Solving, high-level SCM strategy development, contract management, knowledge of PPRA rules, and market trends analysis.

Qualification & Experience

• Masters in Business and/or Operations Management; preferably a Certification as a Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or in Supply Management (CPSM).
• Minimum 15 years of post-qualification relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a leading senior management position, with high level responsibility and work experience for the entire cycle of procurement functions.
• Broad knowledge and experience of supply chain and procurement practice and related tools preferably related to the power sector.
• Knowledge of Project Management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Upper age limit of 57 years.
