Job Overview

The Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination is recruiting a Chief Information & Technology Officer (CI&TO) for the 'Jinnah Medical Complex & Research Center (JMC&RC) Company' project. This is a contract role based in Islamabad, initially for 3 years or project duration. The CI&TO will lead the technology strategy and implementation for this major healthcare initiative.

Educational Qualification & Experience

Education: Minimum 16 years of education or equivalent from an HEC recognized university/institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, AI, or a related field.
Experience: 10 years of experience with a minimum of 5 years of leadership/managerial level experience in technology management, preferably in mega construction projects (preferably in healthcare), hospital management, or IT infrastructure. Strong expertise preferably in hospital IT systems, cloud computing, AI in healthcare, cybersecurity, and digital health solutions. Proven track record in leading large-scale technology projects, managing IT teams, and implementing innovative healthcare technologies. Knowledge of healthcare regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, FDA medical device compliance) and hospital accreditation requirements.

Skills Required

Strong visionary thinking, team leadership, and ability to drive technology strategy in healthcare infrastructure.
Problem-solving, risk assessment, and data-driven decision-making to optimize hospital IT and operations.
Effective communication with executives, cross-functional teams, and third-party vendors for seamless tech integration.
Agile mindset to embrace emerging healthcare technologies, drive digital transformation, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Age Limits

Candidates should be between 35 to 50 years of age.

Terms and Conditions

Offers an attractive market-based salary and annual performance incentives. The contract is for an initial 3-year period, subject to extension based on performance and project needs. The position is based in Islamabad with flexible working conditions and potential travel requirements.
