Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Organization Overview

Tribal Areas Electricity Supply Company (TESCO), a public sector utility company operating under the Ministry of Energy (Power Division), is seeking an exceptional, dynamic, and accomplished professional to lead the organization as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The ideal candidate will be fully conversant with the corporate environment, result-oriented, and possess a well-established reputation for integrity and credibility.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following criteria:
1. **Education:** Minimum 16 years of education in Engineering / Business Administration / Public Administration / Management Sciences / Finance / Commerce / Economics or be a member of a recognized body of professional accountants.
2. **Experience:** Possess at least 20 years of verifiable experience, including at least three (3) years of Senior Management Experience. Senior Management Experience is defined as:
a. For Public Sector applicants: Experience in a position of BS-20 or equivalent (substantive, additional charge, acting charge, current charge, look after basis, or upgraded).
b. For Private Sector applicants: Experience at C-level.
3. **Skills & Attributes:**
* Strong leadership, team building, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Fully conversant with the power distribution business, its regulatory regime, and challenges.
* Demonstrated ability to lead persistent growth and create value for customers.
* Awareness of international best practices in governance, change management, corporate restructuring, and strategic thinking, with a proven record of delivering results.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. **Compliance:** Must comply with the Fit and Proper Criteria as per Section 16 and Schedule IV of the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2023, and the State-owned (Ownership & Management) Policy, 2023.
5. **Advantageous:** Previous experience at a senior position within a power distribution company.
6. **Age Limit:** Upper age limit is 62 years as of the closing date of the advertisement (May 20, 2025).

Compensation and Tenure

TESCO offers an excellent market-based competitive remuneration package commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. The employment will be purely on a contract basis for an initial period of three (3) years, extendable subject to performance.

* Candidates currently working in Government / Semi-Government / Autonomous Public Organizations should apply through the proper channel along with an NOC from their current employer.
* The successful candidate must resign from their current employer and provide a relieving letter prior to joining TESCO.
