Role and Responsibilities

Hamdard University is seeking accomplished academics to join its faculty as Associate Professors. This role involves significant teaching responsibilities, conducting independent and collaborative research, publishing scholarly work in recognized journals, and actively participating in academic administration. Associate Professors are expected to mentor junior faculty, contribute to curriculum development, and play a vital role in the intellectual life and growth of their respective departments. They will also be instrumental in securing research grants and enhancing the university's research output.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Associate Professor position must adhere to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) minimum eligibility criteria. This typically demands a Ph.D. in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized university, along with a specified number of years of post-Ph.D. teaching and research experience (usually 5 years). Alternatively, candidates with 10 years of experience after a Master's degree, coupled with a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals, may also be considered. Demonstrated ability to supervise research students and contribute effectively to the academic community is a key expectation. The university also considers recognition by relevant professional bodies like PMDC/PMC, PEC, PCP, NBEAC, NACTE, NTC, PNC, or PBC where applicable.
