Unit Manager Statutory Accounts

Job Overview

Unit Manager - Statutory Accounts position requires a Master's degree in Accounting, Business & Finance, C.A or ACCA. Minimum 03 years of relevant or banking experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure preparation of annual and interim financial statements in accordance with IFRS and other regulatory requirements
• Ensure full compliance with applicable IFRS standards including financial instruments, impairment (ECL), revenue recognition, leases, and disclosures
• Manage financial statement disclosures, notes to accounts, and related working papers
• Liaise with internal and external auditors for audit and resolve audit queries in a timely manner
• Ensure implementation of new and revised IFRS standards and assess their financial impact
• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual internal financial reports for senior management and the Board
• Ensure compliance of audit observations (SBP, Internal Audit & External Audit)
• Review reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with periodic cut-offs and timely closure of accounting periods in ERP system
