About the Role

National Bank of Pakistan is seeking a talented, dedicated, and experienced professional for the position of Unit Head - CBA Technology (AVP / VP) in Karachi. The individual will play a vital role in supporting the financial well-being of the nation by ensuring robust IT infrastructure and core banking systems support.

Key Responsibilities

To ensure projects, problems, service requests, and escalations are dealt with according to a defined set of policies, processes, procedures, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
To manage and prioritize the design and maintenance of Core Banking System and other integrated systems / applications.
To provide support and guidance on Core Banking Application Security and Governance, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
To develop, implement and execute detailed Disaster Recovery (DR) plans and procedures for Core Banking and other integrated critical business applications.
To analyze and review the design and planning of application projects in accordance with the Bank's requirements.
To monitor, manage and resolve service user complaints to maintain the highest standards of service quality.

Eligibility Criteria

Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in IT / Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent and / or Graduation with a Master's degree in IT / Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 06 years of experience in the field of IT, out of which 03 years of hands on experience in maintenance and / or configuration and / or deployment of Core Banking Systems and Allied Solutions.
Skills: Expertise in Database Technologies (Oracle, DBSQL, SQL Server, NoSQL), Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems, and strong knowledge of VMware technology.
