Surveillance Assistant (PPS-05)

Role Overview

The Health & Population Department, Government of the Punjab, invites applications from eligible individuals for the position of Surveillance Assistant (PPS-05). These 50 positions are offered on a contract basis under the Development Project titled 'Directorate of Provincial Healthcare Service Monitoring & Evaluation System'. The role focuses on supporting and strengthening the healthcare service monitoring and evaluation mechanisms within Punjab.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following criteria to be considered for the Surveillance Assistant (PPS-05) position:

Educational Qualification

  • Graduation (14 years) in Computer Sciences/Software engineering/Information technology or equivalent with at least Second Division from an HEC recognized University.
  • OR
  • Graduation (14 years) with at least Second Division along with a 3-6 months diploma in computer.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for applicants is 45 years. The age will be calculated as of the last date of application submission.

General Terms and Conditions

  • The appointments will be on a contract basis under the Recruitment Policy 2022 of the Government of the Punjab.
  • Only candidates domiciled in Punjab are eligible to apply.
  • Provincial quotas for women, minorities, and special persons are applicable. Disabled candidates must provide proof of registration from the Social Welfare Department and a Disability Certificate.

  • These vacancies are post-specific and non-transferable.
  • No TA/DA will be provided for the test/interview.
  • Candidates currently employed in Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous Bodies must apply through the proper channel.
  • Submission of fraudulent documents or concealment of facts will result in disqualification.
  • Only degrees from HEC-recognized institutions (or foreign degrees with HEC equivalence) will be considered.
  • Short-listed candidates will be contacted for interviews via email/call/SMS by the department.
  • The number of available positions may be altered without prior notice.
  • The Department reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process or reject any application without assigning any reason.

Application Process

Interested candidates are required to follow the application procedure outlined below:
1. Candidates shall apply online by visiting the National Testing Service (NTS) website: www.nts.org.pk.
2. After online submission, candidates must send the duly filled-in Application Form (online printout), along with the original deposit slip of the prescribed fee (in favor of NTS), a copy of their CNIC, and two recent passport-size photographs, directly to NTS headquarters via courier. The NTS address will be mentioned on the application form.
3. The test fee must be paid through 1 Link 1 Bill Participating Banks/ATM/Internet Banking/Mobile Banking/Easy Paisa/Jazz Cash/TCS Express Counters using the 20-digit invoice number generated on the fee slip. Only one bill invoice payment will be accepted.
4. Completed applications must reach NTS no later than 20th June, 2025.
5. Incomplete applications or those received after the closing date/office hours will not be entertained.
6. Information regarding the written test/skill test will be communicated to eligible/shortlisted candidates through NTS.
7. A minimum of 50% marks in the NTS test is required to qualify.
