Site Inspector / Sub Engineer

About the Role

The Site Inspector / Sub Engineer will be a critical field-based professional for the Project Management Unit (PMU) of the Punjab Development Program, which is dedicated to improving urban infrastructure across 8 cities in Punjab. This position involves direct oversight of construction activities, ensuring that all on-site work, especially for sewerage and storm water drainage systems, adheres to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. The role is essential for hands-on quality control.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and thorough site inspections to monitor the quality and progress of construction work.
• Ensure that all materials and workmanship comply strictly with approved designs and industry standards.
• Identify and report any discrepancies, defects, or deviations from the project plan promptly and accurately.
• Assist in conducting precise measurements and verifying quantities of work completed for payment purposes.
• Liaise effectively with contractors, site workers, and project managers to resolve on-site issues and maintain smooth operations.
• Maintain detailed and organized records of site activities, inspections, and overall project progress.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution. A minimum of 10 years of post-qualification relevant experience in site inspection or sub-engineering roles, particularly in infrastructure projects, is essential. The maximum age limit for this position is 45 years, seeking experienced technical professionals.
