About the Role

The Quantity Surveyor will be an essential professional within the Project Management Unit (PMU) for the Punjab Development Program, which is focused on critical urban infrastructure development across 8 cities in Punjab. This role is pivotal in managing all costs and quantities related to the construction projects, ensuring stringent financial control, accurate estimation, and efficient resource allocation, particularly for sewerage and storm water drainage systems. The Quantity Surveyor plays a key role in project budgeting and cost management.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and comprehensive tender documents for construction projects.
• Conduct thorough cost analysis, apply value engineering principles, and manage financial risks related to project expenses.
• Monitor project expenditures closely, track variations effectively, and prepare precise progress payments for contractors.
• Assist actively in contract administration and ensure strict compliance with all financial clauses and agreements.
• Provide expert advice on cost-saving measures, procurement strategies, and material optimization.
• Maintain comprehensive and organized records of all cost and quantity-related documentation for audit and reference.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution. A minimum of 10 years of post-qualification relevant experience in quantity surveying or related roles in infrastructure projects is essential. The maximum age limit for this position is 45 years, seeking experienced professionals in cost and quantity management.
