About the Role

National Bank of Pakistan is looking for a talented and experienced professional for the position of Senior Technical Analyst - CBA (OG-I). The ideal candidate will be based in Karachi and will report directly to the Unit Head – CBA Technology. This role involves maintaining, configuring, and deploying Core Banking Systems and allied solutions.

Educational and Professional Requirements

Applicants must hold a minimum Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification, OR a Graduation with a Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent from a local or international university recognized by the HEC of Pakistan. Candidates having relevant certification(s) will be preferred.

Experience and Skills

Minimum 04 years of experience in the field of IT, out of which 02 years of hands-on experience in maintenance, configuration, or deployment of Core Banking Systems and/or Allied Solutions.
Candidates having experience with FIS PROFILE Core Banking System will be preferred.
Expertise in Database Technologies (Oracle, DBSQL, SQL Server, NoSQL).
Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
Strong knowledge of VMware technology, version control tools (SVN / GitLab), WebServer (Aapache / Websphere).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

To ensure projects, problems, service requests, and escalations are dealt with according to a defined set of policies, processes, procedures, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
To identify solution designs and conduct technical risk analysis for any change requests or new solutions in Core Banking posture.
To promote open communication, teamwork, and trust to support performance and cultivate a customer service-oriented culture.
To track technical issues, identify resolutions jointly with application vendors and / or Infra Systems vendors, server / OS / storage experts.
To perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor(s).
