Role Overview

Sindh Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) in Karachi is seeking applications for the role of Senior Lecturer at its School of Nursing (SON). This position is ideal for experienced nursing educators with a strong clinical background and research contributions.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following qualifications to be eligible for the Senior Lecturer role:

• Education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing Post-RN (BSN-PRN). Academic qualifications must be from HEC-recognized Universities/Degree Awarding Institutes.
• Experience:
  - For MSN qualification holders: Minimum 02 years of teaching experience and 02 years of clinical experience.
  - For Post-RN BSN/BSN qualification holders: Minimum 04 years of teaching experience and 05 years of clinical experience.
• Publications: Minimum of 01 publication in an HEC recognized Nursing/Health Sciences Journal, published as the first author within the last two years.
• License: Must possess a valid Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council (PNMC) license.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Lecturer will be involved in teaching nursing courses, supervising students, participating in clinical instruction, contributing to academic activities, and engaging in scholarly work.
