Role Overview

Sindh Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS), Karachi, invites applications from dynamic and qualified professionals for the position of Associate Professor at the School of Nursing (SON). This is a senior academic role requiring expertise in nursing education, clinical practice, and research.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Associate Professor position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: PhD in Nursing OR Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing Post-RN (BSN-PRN). Academic qualifications must be from HEC-recognized Universities/Degree Awarding Institutes.
• Experience: Essential teaching and clinical experience at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Experience in an academic-administrative position is desired.
• Publications: Minimum of 05 publications in HEC recognized Nursing/Health Sciences Journals, with at least one publication as the first author within the last two years.
• License: Must possess a valid Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council (PNMC) license.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students at undergraduate and graduate levels, contributing to curriculum development, conducting research, and potentially undertaking academic-administrative tasks within the School of Nursing.
