Safety, Environment and Quality Specialist

Job Overview

The Sindh Mass Transit Authority (SMTA), Government of Sindh, has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Karachi Mobility Project (Yellow Line BRT) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services. An individual consultant is required to serve as the Safety, Environment and Quality Specialist under reference number PK-SMTA-561065-CS-INDV.

Qualification and Experience

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree from an HEC-recognized university in Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences, or a related field. Additional educational qualifications will be considered an added advantage. The required experience includes a minimum of 05 years of professional experience in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), environmental management planning, health and safety planning, project design, monitoring, and SHE&Q activities. Familiarity with ISO 15-2001, Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001, Occupational Health and Safety, ISO 22000, Quality Assurance, or related standards is essential. Working experience on donor-funded projects will be preferred.
