Job Overview

The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Local Government, Elections & Rural Development Department, is hiring a Project Director for the Project Management Unit (PMU) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cities Improvement Project (KPCIP) in Peshawar. This is a key leadership role for a donor-assisted project, offered on a contract basis initially for one (1) year, extendable based on satisfactory performance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Number of Positions: 01
  • Qualification: Preferably Master's Degree in Urban Development / Architecture / Cities Development, Civil Engineering, Project Management, Development Studies. Candidates with Ph.D. in any of the abovementioned fields will have a competitive edge.
  • Experience: 16 years of relevant experience. Substantial experience in project management, demonstrated experience in donor funded projects and 5 years of working experience in a similar capacity. Preference will be given to the individual having broad-based experience with Government Agencies. Preference will be given to those who possess relevant experience with Donors (ADB and WB) or their funded projects and overseas relevant experience / relevant experience with international organization and Govt Institutions.
