Professor (Architecture)

Position Overview

The University of Gujrat invites applications from dynamic, dedicated, and competent Pakistani nationals (males/females) for the position of Professor (BPS-21) in the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, Design & Fine Arts (FADFA). This is a contract position aimed at strengthening the academic and research profile of the department.

Minimum Qualification/Experience (Option 1 - PhD Route)

• Ph.D. in Architecture Design or Architecture from a University or institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
• Registered with Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCATP).
• Twelve years' teaching or research experience from a university or institution recognized by HEC or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization; OR Ten years post-Ph.D. teaching or research experience from a University or institution recognized by HEC or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.
• Fifteen research Publications, with at least five publications in the last five years, in the journals recognized by HEC/PCATP; OR recognition in at least four national or international architectural design competitions or design excellence awards.

Minimum Qualification/Experience (Option 2 - Master's/MPhil Route)

• Master's degree (Foreign) in Architecture Design or Architecture or MPhil degree in Architecture Design or Architecture or equivalent qualification (eighteen years' education) from a University or institution recognized by the HEC.
• Registered with PCATP.
• Fifteen years' teaching or research experience from a university or institution recognized by HEC or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.
• Fifteen research Publications, with at least five publications in the last five years, in journals recognized by HEC/PCATP; OR recognition in at least five national or international architectural design competitions or design excellence awards.

1. Applications should reach the Human Resource Office, Admin Block, 1st Floor, Room # 104, Hafiz Hayat Campus, University of Gujrat by 30-04-2025.
2. The Job Application form along with the advertisement can be downloaded from UOG's website www.uog.edu.pk.
3. Applicants must submit two (02) sets for the subject post/s which must contain: UOG Application Form, attested copies of Degrees/Transcripts from HEC / Boards, etc., Experience Certificates (duly verified by the respective Employer/s), NOC (if needed), Domicile, CNIC, and recent Passport size photographs with each application form complete in all respect.
4. Applicants working in Government/Semi-Government, and Autonomous Bodies must apply through the proper channel and attach NOC.
5. Experience in Private Entities shall only be accepted if such entity is registered with SECP, Registrar of Firms, or any other Regularity Authority.
6. Experience gained on Daily basis, Part-time, Visiting, Honorary, and Apprentice shall not be considered/counted.
7. Applicants must deposit a non-refundable fee of Rs. 1200/- (for BPS-20 & above) in any Branch of BOP. The fee must be deposited on the prescribed challan form generated online via the link 'https://ch.uog.edu.pk/MISC/OnlineHRCustomChallan'. The original receipt must be provided along with the hard copy of the application form.
8. Clearly write the name of the post applied for on the top right side of the envelope.
9. Incomplete applications will be liable to be rejected.
