Post Graduate Trainee FCPS-II Level-II (Surgery & Allied)

Training Program Overview

Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi provides advanced Three/Four Years FCPS Training (Level-II) in specialized surgical disciplines. This program is for doctors who have completed initial surgical training and are seeking further specialization. Note that selected candidates for the overall program (PEMH/CMH) may be placed in either hospital based on the selection board's decision.

• Orthopaedic Surgery
• Paediatric Surgery
• Thoracic Surgery

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants for Level-II training must meet these requirements:

• MBBS degree and valid PMDC registration.
• Completed one-year House Job.
• Passed FCPS Part-I examination.
• Successfully completed one/two year(s) of mandatory training in General Surgery.

Preference for selection will be given to Government sponsored candidates.

Application Process

1. Application Form: Obtainable from the Training Office, CMH Rawalpindi (Basement Officers Tower), during 0800-1500 hours.
2. Submission: Submit completed applications with all attested documents (hard copies) to the Training Office, CMH Rawalpindi by 23 June 2025 (till 1500 hours).
3. Required Documents:

• CVP (Curriculum Vitae) with passport-size photographs.
• One copy of CNIC.
• MBBS Degree.
• Transcript / Attempt Certificate for all professionals (MBBS).
• DMCs - MBBS (all professionals).
• Valid PMDC registration certificate.
• House Job (01 Year) Certificate.
• CPSP Letter of Congratulation (FCPS Part-I).
• Certificate of completion of one/two year(s) mandatory training in General Surgery.
• Experience Certificate over and above House Job (if any, minimum 1 year).
• Application addressed to Commandant CMH Rawalpindi (Typed/Printed/Hand Written).
• Proof of Publication (if any).
• Evidence of Best Graduate & ward of Armed Forces/ Shaheed/ War Wounded (if applicable).
• Ward of army Personnel (Documentary Proof, if applicable).
• Ward of shaheed & retired Personnel (Pension Book, if applicable).
• Character Certificate (from Medical College/Hospital).
• NOC from respective government department (in case of government employee only).
• Copy of Domicile.

4. Processing Fee: A non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 500/-. Attach the original deposit slip for Account No. 0001901000000717 (Private Fund Account, Askari Bank, CMH Branch Rawalpindi).
5. Important Notes:

• Interviews will be granted to shortlisted candidates only.
• No TA/DA is admissible for the interview.
• Original documents must be produced at the interview.
• The Commandant CMH Rawalpindi can terminate training for valid reasons (poor performance, etc.).
• Trainees sponsored by external organizations/departments (non-government) will not be paid by CMH and must provide necessary documentation from their sponsor.
