Job Description

The Emergency Services Department (Rescue 1122), Government of the Punjab, seeks a skilled Photographer / Cameraman (BPS-14) for their headquarters in Lahore. This role involves capturing photographic and video content as required by the department. The position is offered on a project contract basis for an initial term of 2 years, which may be extended depending on performance.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Graduation (minimum 2nd Division) from a recognized university.
• Certification: Must possess a Diploma or Certificate in photography.
• Experience: A minimum of 01 year of experience in photography is required.

The acceptable age range for applicants is 24 to 40 years.

Selection Steps

The hiring process entails:
1. Applying online via Central Testing Service (CTS).
2. Undergoing Written & psychological tests, Physical tests, and Skill tests.
3. Checking the list of qualifying candidates on the CTS & ESD websites after each process.
4. Attending the final interview at the Emergency Services Department Headquarters, Thokar Niaz Baig, Lahore.
5. Providing a medical report at the interview stage, issued by a Government Teaching Hospital or DHQ Hospital, confirming physical examination (height, weight, chest, eyesight and physical deformities) and laboratory tests (Hepatitis B&C, HIV, RPR).

Terms of Employment

Please note the following conditions:

• Health Standards: Strict criteria regarding vision (less than 6/6 each eye without glasses), color blindness, obesity (BMI 30 or above), and infectious diseases (Hepatitis B&C, HIV, RPR negative) apply. Any person positive shall be shortlisted at any stage.
• Physical Attributes: Preference will be given to candidates with height more than 5.6', whereas minimum chest size will be 33'.
• Age Limit: No general age relaxation in age or qualification (Army/Civil). However, existing Emergency Services Department employees shall be given 5 years age relaxation in upper age limit only for administrative posts.
• Application Policy: Candidates are directed to apply only for one suitable post; however appropriate candidate may be adjusted against other suitable post on recommendation of the Recruitment Committee.
• Residency Preference: Local residents as per CNIC will be given preference.
• Selection Priority: In case of the large number of applicants, only applications with preferred/enhanced criteria shall be considered.
• Verification Process: Final appointment depends on verification of documents, Police Verification, successful completion of training and clearance by the medical board constituted by Government of the Punjab.
• Authenticity: The candidature/ selection/ appointment shall be cancelled at any stage of recruitment or training and even after appointment, in case any information is found to be missing, false or forged.
