Job Overview

Applications are invited by Pakistan Railways, Headquarters Office, Lahore, for the position of Mechanical Technician/ Skilled Fitter. This role is offered on a contract basis for an initial period of one year, which may be extended based on performance, under the Project Director/Replacement of AC Plants.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be involved in tasks related to refrigeration and air conditioning systems, focusing on electrical and electronic works. This includes maintenance, repair, and fitting duties as required for the project.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must hold a One / Two Years (02/01) Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC) Technology from any recognized Institute of Technical Education affiliated/registered with relevant Board of Technical Education in Second Division. A minimum of three (03) years of experience in Electrical/Electronic works is required. Only those experience(s) will be consider which are obtained after the required qualification.

Age Limit

The maximum age for applicants is 30 years. Any applicable age relaxation, as per general conditions (point iv), is already incorporated into this maximum age.

Salary and Benefits

The position offers a salary based on Project Pay Scale (PPS-02), equivalent to BS-06, as per the standard pay package determined by the Finance Division.
