Role Overview
The Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training & Assessment Authority (PECTAA), under the School Education Department, Government of the Punjab, seeks a highly qualified Managing Director (Academics). This contract position, for a term of three (3) years at MPS-I pay scale, involves leading all academic functions of the Authority, including curriculum development, assessment strategies, and teacher training programs. The role is based in Lahore.Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for all academic programs, curriculum development, and assessment processes within PECTAA.
- Oversee the design, implementation, review, and evaluation of curriculum and textbook development initiatives.
- Lead the development and execution of robust assessment strategies and ensure the quality and validity of educational assessments.
- Manage and enhance teacher training programs and oversee academic administration functions.
- Collaborate with national and international educational bodies, experts, and stakeholders to enhance academic standards and outcomes.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualification:PhD or MPhil/MS or Master's/BS (16 years education, at least 2nd Division or 2.5 CGPA) in Education, Curriculum Studies, Assessment, Public Policy, Educational Policy, Social Sciences or any other relevant field from a well-reputed international or national institute duly recognized by HEC.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years (after Master's/BS) of experience in Curriculum, Textbook Development, Assessment, Teachers Training or Academic Administration in a public/private sector organization.
- Minimum 7 years (after MPhil/MS) of experience in Curriculum, Textbook Development, Assessment, Teachers Training or Academic Administration in a public/private sector organization.
- Minimum 5 years (after PhD) of experience in Curriculum, Textbook Development, Assessment, Teachers Training or Academic Administration in a public/private sector organization.
35 - 55 years.
