About the Organization

The Planning Commission / Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives serves as an apex body and think tank for the Government of Pakistan. It provides essential technical and professional inputs for the formulation and implementation of socio-economic plans and policies. This position falls under the project titled 'Capacity Building & Institutional Strengthening of M/o PD&SI'.

Role Overview

The Ministry is looking for a highly experienced Macro-Economic Modeling Advisor. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in economic forecasting, policy analysis, and quantitative modeling to contribute to the Ministry's objectives. This role is offered on a purely contract basis and filled based on merit.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate must possess the following:

• Education: At least a 16 years professional degree, including a 2nd Class Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Experience: A minimum of 20 years of relevant post-qualification work experience with public/private sector national/international departments. Expertise in economic forecasting, policy analysis, and quantitative modeling is essential.

Remuneration and Age Limit

• Remuneration: The position offers a pay package equivalent to Project Pay Scale (PPS) 11.
• Age Limit: The maximum age limit for applicants is 63 years.
