Legislative Drafter

Role Overview

The Law, Parliamentary Affairs & Criminal Prosecution Department, Government of Sindh, requires the services of a Legislative Drafter. The primary responsibility will be to provide services specifically for the development of new law and multiple law-making other activities. This will involve drafting Bills, Rules, vetting of statutory instruments, other legal documents, revision of existing laws, research analysis work related to legislation, and related support for parliamentary proceedings, as well as providing advice/opinion on legislative matters.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates wishing to apply for the Legislative Drafter position must meet the following requirements:

• Qualification: The person should be highly qualified in the legal field with computer skills.
• Experience: Must possess a minimum experience of 20 years in independent legislative drafting as a professional.
• Age: Applicants must not be over 65 years and not below 50 years of age.

Remuneration and Service Period

A handsome fixed monthly remuneration will be offered after ascertaining the experience and quality of work, once the candidate is selected. The period of service would be at the pleasure of the Government.
