Organization Overview

The Office of the Assistant Commissioner Taunsa, acting as the Administrator for the Municipal Committee Taunsa, District Dera Ghazi Khan, is seeking the services of a qualified Legal Advisor.

Role Description

The Municipal Committee requires a Legal Advisor for a period of two years to defend litigation in Honourable Courts of Law, including High Courts, Ombudsman, and other forums. The advisor will handle matters actively participated in as an Advocate of the High Court.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a Practicing Lawyer of the High Court for a period not less than Five Years.
• Must possess extensive experience in Land & Property Law, Service/Employment Law, Labour Laws, Municipal Laws/Rules & Regulations, and other allied matters relating to local governments.
• Must be confident and possess complete command over speaking and writing skills in both English and Urdu languages.
• Experience in practice in High Courts must not be less than Five Years.

Terms and Conditions

• The appointment will be on a temporary basis for a period of Two Years or the period assigned by the Law & Parliamentary Affairs Department, Punjab.
• Remuneration will be paid Rs. 25,000/- per month or as prescribed by the Government of Punjab.
• TA/DA will be admissible as per prevailing law only for appearances before the Hon'ble Courts of Law outside the jurisdiction of Municipal Committee, Taunsa. No TA/DA for the interview.
• The advisor will offer comments/legal advice on all matters referred to him.
• The advisor will be bound to appear in the Hon'ble High Courts, Services Tribunal, Appellate Tribunal, Labour Courts, Civil Courts, and Ombudsman, as well as in other Courts/Forums where litigations against Municipal Committee Taunsa are pending.
• Hiring will be finalized after the issuance of an Appointment Order by the Secretary, Government of Punjab, Law & Parliamentary Affairs Department, Lahore.

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
Applications with cutting, torn documents, or doubtful information, as well as those received after the due date (14-05-2025), will not be entertained.
