Project Overview

The Punjab Wildlife and Parks Department, under the Government of the Punjab, is actively recruiting for various project posts for its unique 'Immersive Wildlife Experience (Cinema & Moving Theatre)' development project. This initiative aims to create an engaging and educational experience for the public. All positions are offered purely on a contract basis, extending until the Gestation Period of the Project, specifically until June 30, 2026. The primary place of posting for these roles is Lahore; however, the competent authority reserves the right to utilize the services of selected candidates across Punjab, depending on project needs.

Job Responsibilities for IT Manager

As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all information technology aspects of the 'Immersive Wildlife Experience' project. Your duties will include planning, directing, and coordinating the computer-related activities, ensuring that the IT infrastructure supports the project's goals, managing IT staff, and implementing IT policies and procedures. Given the project's reliance on immersive and interactive technologies, you will play a critical role in managing the technical systems that deliver this unique experience to visitors. Professional certifications are highly desirable, reflecting the need for advanced expertise in this field.

Qualifications and Experience Required

To be eligible for the IT Manager position, applicants must hold a Master's degree (16 years of education) with a Second Division in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized university. Professional certifications are highly desirable, indicating a deeper level of expertise and commitment to the IT field. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a managerial capacity within a similar or related IT field is essential. Experience gained in private entities will be considered, provided that the entity is duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, Registrar of Firms, or any other relevant regulatory authority/department. The maximum age limit for this position is 40 years.

Government and semi-government employees must apply through the proper channel and will be required to submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their competent authority. After a detailed scrutiny of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be invited for a test or interview. Communication regarding tests/interviews will be made via letter, SMS, or call. No Travel Allowance (TA) or Daily Allowance (DA) will be admissible for attending the test/interview. All candidates called for test/interview must present their original National Identity Card, Domicile Certificate, Transcripts, Certificates, Degrees of Educational Qualifications, and Experience Certificates. The department retains the right to increase or decrease the number of posts or to not fill any vacancy without assigning any reason. In case of a local holiday, the test/interview will be rescheduled, and the new date will be communicated afresh.
