Role Overview

A strategic leadership opportunity exists for the Head of Sectoral Transformation Units within the National Economic Transformation & 5 Es Unit, under the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives. Located in Islamabad (Project Scale: PPS-11), this role is pivotal in driving the implementation of URAAN Pakistan under the 5Es framework (Exports, E-Pakistan, Environment, Energy, and Equity).

Key Responsibilities

The incumbent will oversee the implementation of Uraan Pakistan's sectoral plans and ensure effective cross-sectoral coordination. A key responsibility includes conducting foresight and horizon scanning to analyze national and global trends, identify emerging threats, and explore strategic opportunities for long-term planning. This role demands strong engagement capabilities with stakeholders across federal and provincial governments, the private sector, civil society, and international partners.

Qualifications and Experience

Option 1: PhD (Economics/ Public Policy/ Social Sciences) from a reputed HEC recognized National / International University with ten (10) years' professional experience, including 3 years' experience at policy-making level in the field of social sector planning & development or economic planning & development.
OR
Option 2: Masters (Economics/ Public Policy/ Social Sciences) from a reputed HEC recognized National / International University with fourteen (14) years' professional experience, including 3 years' experience at policy-making level in the field of social sector or economic planning & development.
Age Limit: Maximum 62 years on the closing date of application.
Contract Duration: 03 years (extendable based on satisfactory performance).
