Grid Station Operation Intern (Electrical/Electronic Engineering)

Program Overview

Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO), a leading Public Sector Utility Company under the Ministry of Energy (Power Division), is offering a paid internship program for graduates and early-career professionals. This program provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, enhance skills, and receive financial support while working in a leading power distribution company operating across 13 districts of southern Sindh (excluding Karachi).

Role and Department Overview

Interns in the Grid Station Operation department will gain invaluable experience in the control centers of the power distribution network. You will learn about the monitoring, control, and maintenance of grid station equipment, ensuring the stable and efficient flow of electricity. This is a highly technical and practical learning opportunity.

Required Qualifications

To be eligible for an internship in the Grid Station Operation department, you must have:

• B.Sc / BE in Electrical / Electronic Engineering with a valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration.

Internship Duration and Stipend

The internship will be offered for an initial period of 06 months, which is extendable for another 06 months (up to a maximum of two years) based on performance and company requirements. Interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 40,000/-, with a 20% increase on each extension.

Eligibility Criteria and Application Process

Candidates must meet the following general criteria:

• Possess the requisite qualification from an HEC-recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or a 2.5 CGPA out of 4.0.
• The maximum age limit is 30 years as of the closing date of this advertisement.
• Government and semi-government employees are not eligible to apply.
