Role Focus
The Gender Specialist will ensure that gender equity is promoted across all components of the GRADES project. This includes gender analysis, developing gender-responsive strategies, monitoring gender impacts, and contributing to stakeholder engagement with a gender lens. The aim is to improve outcomes for both girls and boys in Punjab's schools.Qualifications
Education: A Master's/Bachelor's (Hons) degree (16 years of education) in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field from a reputable & recognized local or foreign institution, duly recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).Experience
Requirements:- At least five (05) years of documentary verifiable relevant experience after acquiring stipulated qualifications.
- Experience in public and/or private sector national/international organizations, preferably in education.
- Previous experience with the World Bank projects for gender assessment and other instruments, stakeholder management, and citizen engagement will be given due weightage.
- Strong written and oral communications skills.
- Must be able to work with people of different and diverse backgrounds.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, commitment to team work and to be able to work across disciplines.
- Demonstrates openness to change and ability to manage complexities.
- Excellent writing, editing, and analytical skills and capability of working independently.
- An ability to work effectively, take initiative and deliver results, even under pressure, and willing to visit sites in remote areas.
